Knowsley Primary Care Service
Urgent Care 24 works with Knowsley CCG to offer any Knowsley registered patient requiring GP input a “same day” appointment, delivered in the community.
The service is delivered from four sites across Knowsley – Nutgrove Villa in Huyton, St Chads in Kirkby, Halewood primary care resource centre and Whiston primary care resource centre.
The service is operational Monday to Friday from 08:00 – 20:00 hrs via local GP practices.
This service is not a ‘walk in’ service
Intermediate Care Service
Knowsley Intermediate Care Service is an integrated community service jointly run by NHS Knowsley CCG and Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council.
Patients requiring some care, but not enough for a hospital may be referred to this service, along with patients whose GP refers them in to the service for care.
The Asylum Service, run by UC24, provides health screening and medical assessments to asylum seekers who have recently arrived in Liverpool and are located in an Initial Accommodation Centre (IAC).
The practice works closely with Health Visitors, School Nurses and counselling services in the locality, along with the accommodation provider, Serco.
